Combining Robotics & Micro-Assembly to meet the growing need of miniaturization & precision, in the field of photonics: it is the latest challenge we have taken up at Percipio Robotics!
We were therefore excited to discover that the French Photonics Days 2024 – national two-day event – will take place on October 15th and 16th, in the heart of the French Microtechnology Cluster, at our our headquarters in Besançon. This year, the topic is “Disruptive Photonics Micro- Nanotechnologies”.
For this new edition, we have worked closely with Photonics France and are proud to welcome you to our facilities during two days, to explore the incredible world of micro-robotics in photonics.
The program will include :
An “Autonomous Machine” Workshop :
You will discover a modular platform performing an automatic micro-assembly process, with one of our patented grippers. Additionally, you will get a glimpse of our Digital Twin. It was recently awarded a Micron d’Or (at Micronora, September 2024), offering a user-friendly control interface and an industrial solution adapted for remote maintenance and user training.
An “Active Alignment” Workshop :
You will uncover the secrets of an autonomous active assembly with mirror, thanks to the combination between our TulipGripper & a Meca500, the most precise and compact robotic arm in the world (-> Positioning repeatability down to 5 µm!)
A “Modularity inside the Machine” Workshop :
You will be immersed in the fast and simple evolution of a production machine, using flexible tools. A vivid demonstration in real life, but also… in mixed reality!
An “Optics Pick & Place” Workshop :
You will delve deeper into the topic of automatic manipulation and placement of optical micro-components, particularly thanks to our Vision Processing Software and with some Percipio tips to master the unexpected physical phenomena specific to the micro-world!
And last but not least, an “Optical Fiber Manipulation & Insertion » workshop :
to understand each step and challenge linked to this process, from the very early handling to its alignment into a connector.
